ऐसा माना जाता है कि दुनिया में हर एक स्त्री पूरी स्त्री तभी मानी जाती है जब वह मां बन जाती है। और मां बनना इतना आसान काम नहीं है हालांकि मां बनने का सुख दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा सुख एक स्त्री के लिए होता है। जब वह प्रेग्नेंट होती है उस समय अलग-अलग तरह के ख्याल मन में आते हैं। वही उनके मन में एक और डर बैठा रहता है कि डिलीवरी के वक्त उनके साथ क्या होगा। जब डिलीवरी के लिए उन्हें अस्पताल के ऑपरेशन थिएटर में ले जाया जाता है। तो उनके साथ आए हुए उनके पति या फिर परिवार का कोई भी शख्श ऑपरेशन थिएटर के बाहर ही रह जाता है। डॉक्टर किसी भी व्यक्ति को ऑपरेशन थिएटर के अंदर आने की इजाजत नहीं देते हैं और उन्हें बाहर रहने की ही सलाह दी जाती है।
पर आपको जानकर हैरानी होगी कि वैज्ञानिकों ने जो सर्वे किया है उसके हिसाब से वह इस निष्कर्ष पर पहुंचे हैं कि अगर प्रेग्नेंट पत्नी डिलीवरी के समय यानी कि ऑपरेशन थिएटर में अपने पति के साथ होती है, तो उसको लेबर पेन कम होता है। यानी कि उसे दर्द का एहसास कम हो जाता है। वैज्ञानिकों (natural remedies for labour pain) ने इस सर्वे में कम से कम 50 जोड़ों के ऊपर यह सर्वे किया है। जिसमें उन्होंने यह पाया कि प्रेग्नेंट महिलाओं के साथ अगर उनके पति उनके साथ लेबर पेन में जाते हैं तो महिलाओं को लेबर पेन कम होता है।
