This ranking of highest grossing Indian film globally is based on the total box office collection as received from sources. From the start of 20th century the bollywood films have been shown in the cinemas worldwide. In the year 2003 around 90 nations were seen to have been putting bollywood movies in their cinemas. From the early 2000s there is a hike in the price of tickets, increase in cinemas and number of films being released widely.

1.DANGAL (2016)
DANGAL (2016) has been calculated to be the highest earning bollywood movie globally. The domestic gross of the film was Rs 562.52 crores while the globally earned revenue amounts for Rs 2024 crores. The amount may vary over time as the revenue is a converted amount earned in Us Dollars which are subject to change with time and inflation in the market.
The share of hindi films has always been greater than the South indian and other regional films.

The movie Bahubali 2 : The Conclusion was an Indian action film which was produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. This movie was written by K V Vijayendra and directed by S S Rajamouli who was the son of the writer of the movie, K V Vijayendra. The movie got released on 28th April 2017. The actors who worked in the movie were as follows: Prabhas as Baahubali ( both father and son), Anushka Shetty as Devasena, Rana Daggubati as Bhallaladeva, Tamannah as Avantika, Sathyaraj as Kattapa, Nassar a Bijjaladeva and Ramya Krishnan as Shivagami.
