Coronavirus Death Toll in the world

New Delhi, April 3, 2020: The most challenging crisis after WorldWar II, coronavirus has already claimed more than 53,000 lives worldwide. While there is a spike in the number of coronavirus infections, it has crossed 1 Million mark.

The Deadly Virus 

The coronavirus family causes illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases. For instance, it causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS. They circulate in animals and some can be transmitted between animals and humans. Several coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.

The origin

China alerted the WHO to cases of unusual pneumonia in Wuhan in December 2019. COVID-19 is thought to have originated in a seafood market where wildlife was sold illegally.On February 7, Chinese researchers said the virus could have spread from an infected animal. Especially through pangolins which are prized in Asia for food and medicine.

Deaths and Infections in United Kingdom

European nations remained the major devastation center for COVID 19. In the UK, the number of coronavirus-related fatalities has risen by 569 in the last 24 hours. Therefore, taking the total toll to 2,921. This is the biggest jump the UK has seen in the past few days.

France

After creating havoc in Italy and Spain the virus has gripped France. Until now more than 59,000 infections and death above 5,000 have been reported in the country.

Spain

So far Spain’s health ministry reported a record 950 deaths overnight. Until now coronavirus has claimed 10,003 lives in the country. It becomes only the second country worldwide to surpass 10,000 coronavirus deaths

Italy

Meanwhile, COVID 19 deaths continue in Italy with 760 deaths on a day reported lately. A total of 13,915 people have now died from the virus in the country.

India

The number of confirmed novel coronavirus cases in India has risen 2,069. As per the Union Health Ministry data out these, 1,860 are active cases, while 155 people have recovered or discharged from the hospital. Whereas 53 people lost their lives to the highly contagious COVID-19 disease.

China

China’s National Health Commission (NHC) said there were 35 new coronavirus cases by April 1. All of which were claimed to be “imported” from other countries. The mainland had six more deaths, all of them from Hubei, the epicenter of the outbreak.
