• INFLAMMATION
Women suffering from PCOS often suffer from increased inflammation levels in their bodies. Several studies show that the increased rate of inflammation in the body leads to higher androgen levels in the body.

Doctors advise their patients to adopt a low glycaemic index diet that does involve most carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables and whole grains which aims and does help in regulating the menstrual cycle of a woman.

Another way to treat this medical issue is to take estrogen and progestin daily which helps in restoring the normal hormonal balance and properly regulate the ovulation. Women also have the option of having surgery to improve the fertility rate if other treatments do fall apart.
