Early life: Mother Teresa biography:-

Nobel Prize winner Mother Teresa was born in 1910. Mother Teresa was born on 26 August 1910 in the Republic of Macedonia. Her parents belonged to a Lower Middle Class family. Her mother’s name was Nicola and her father’s name was Drenfile. Mother Teresa’s father was an entrepreneur and also used to trade medicines. Her mother Nicola was quite interested in social work. And she also had a lot of interest in the functioning of the local church.

In 1919, an incident took place that left Mother Teresa stunned. In the year 1919, Mother Teresa’s father’s health suddenly worsened and her father died due to very bad health. No one at that time known the main reason behind his death. But those who knew him were guessing that there were some people who did not like Mother Teresa’s father and for this reason they poisoned Mother Teresa’s father.

Mother Teresa suffered a setback after her father’s death. But because of this, one thing happened that Mother Teresa became closer to her mother. Talking about the study of Mother Teresa, she started her early studies in Macedonia. There she received his early education at a convent primary school. After that, she completed her further education in a secondary school in Macedonia. Mother Teresa was very fond of singing and that’s why she used to sing solos during school. The local church people liked the same thing as Mother Teresa. And for this reason, when Mother Teresa was 12 years old, she was called for religious work for the first time.

After that, over time, Mother Teresa’s interest in the religious activities of the church began to grow. And when she turned 18, she changed her name to Mary Teresa. At the same time decided that she would devote her entire life to the church. And eventually joined the Sisters of Loreto in the city of Dublin, Ireland.

One year later when she became 19 she travelled to India. Sister Mary Teresa traveled on to Darjeeling, India, for the novitiate period, in May 1931. She made her First Profession of Vows. Afterward, she was sent to Calcutta. In Calcutta, she was assigned to teach at Saint Mary’s High School for Girls. A school run by the Loreto Sisters and dedicated to teaching girls from the city’s poorest Bengali families. Sister Teresa learned to speak both Bengali and Hindi fluently as she taught geography and history and dedicated herself to alleviating the girl’s poverty through education.

India and Mother Teresa:-

On 10 September 1946, an incident occurred with Mother Teresa after which the condition of her life changed completely. Mother Teresa says that Christ came in front of her while she was traveling on a train from Kolkata. Christ told him that now you should stop teaching poor girls and go to poor settlements in Kolkata and start helping poor and helpless people living there.

But Mother Teresa could not start this work without official permission. And she did not even do that. After almost 1 year of hard work, Mother Teresa finally got permission for this work. And in the year 1948 she started this work.

That August, donning the blue-and-white sari that she would wear in public for the rest of her life, she left the Loreto convent and wandered out into the city. After six months of basic medical training, she voyaged for the first time into Calcutta’s slums with no more specific a goal than to aid the unwanted, the unloved, the uncared for.

Mother Teresa died in the year 1997, serving the poor and helpless persons for almost 50 years continuously. She was about 87 years old at the time of her death. Mother Teresa spent her whole life serving only the poor and the helpless. She never craved anything. She maintained her one and only duty and went on to follow that.
