In that event, she gave a speech and after that speech, his name started being discussed in Pakistan. She had raised the issue in his speech that the Taliban had no right to stop our right to get an education.

Murder attempt:-

As the popularity of Malala Yousafzai grew in Pakistan, there was also a discussion in the Taliban that Malala Yousafzai was going on to grow much further. And for this reason, many times she started receiving threatening calls and messages. At that time Malala Yousafzai was very active on Facebook. And she has told that when she used to mention the Taliban in his speech, she used to get threatening messages on Facebook. The Taliban was upset by the way Malala Yousafzai was fighting for the human rights of girls. And in the end, they decided that they will kill Malala Yousafzai.

On 9 October 2012, a Taliban gunman shot Yousafzai when she was riding back home on a bus after taking an exam in Pakistan’s Swat Valley. Yousafzai was 15 years old at the time. According to reports, a masked gunman shouted: “Which one of you is Malala? Speak up, otherwise, I will shoot you all.” Upon being identified, Yousafzai was shot with one bullet, which travelled 18 inches from the side of her left eye, through her neck, and landed in her shoulder. Two other girls were also wounded in the shooting. Kainat Riaz and Shazia Ramzan, both of whom were stable enough following the shooting, to speak to reporters and provide details of the attack.
